  Facts And Allegations

On March 26, 2005 Cruise Line Crew Member was employed by XYZ Cruise Lines as a seaman. On that date, Plaintiff collapsed on board. He was mistakenly thought to have been intoxicated. Even though an emergency call was placed, he was not treated as such by the doctors employed by XYZ Cruise Lines.

Unfortunately, Plaintiff was not breathing for approximately 13 minutes before being resuscitated by the doctor employed by XYZ Cruise Lines. XYZ Cruise Lines failed to provide adequate medical care both on board and on shore side and as a result Plaintiff sustained severe brain damage necessitating advanced life support, feeding tube, tracheotomy and mechanical ventilation. Defendants claimed they did everything they could under the circumstances, and they did provide adequate medical care.
